Waving the flag for Northern Irish crafters at our Diamond Jubilee Event on 3rd & 4th June is Mulder & Co, who will be selling their gorgeous bunting and other handmade fabric goods created from preloved fabrics. Here is just a wee preview of what's in store....... Add Comment I am so excited by these gorgeous photos of some of the Finders Keepers Couture collection and can't wait to the Frock Around The Clock Valentine's Vintage Fair on Sunday 5th February when Finders Keepers will be selling these amazing hats, bags and accessories. Designed by Katrina Gormley these creations 'reverse the ideology associated with crochet, sometimes seen as an old-fashioned tradition, and create a modern, unique collection of stunning headpieces & accessories. Influenced loosely by eras of the past including the roaring twenties through to the Hollywood glamour years and beyond, they are constructed using high quality fibres and luxury yarns, while adding a modern twist through their metallic threads, vibrant colours and eye-catching embellishments. All pieces are hand-made and comfortable to wear thanks to their delicate, lightweight finish'. The Finders Keepers collections fall into three categories - Classic and Chic, Bridal, and Fun & Fabulous, but they all have one thing in common - they are Amazing!! I am really pleased that Picture House Vintage will be exhibiting at Frock Around The Clock this Sunday, selling a gorgeous range of quality vintage costume jewellery and accessories. This will be their first time at our events and they are running a very special promotion on the day. Anyone purchasing from their stall on the day of the fair will receive discount codes for their website which will give considerable savings on future purchases. All shoppers making a purchase at the vintage fair on Sunday, or anyone who signs up to the mailing list, will also be entered into a draw to win a lovely jewellery piece, and the winners will be notified by email. The Autumn / Winter catwalks have featured a lot of designer crochet so I was delighted to meet Rena from Lily Cobweb Wearable Art when she visited our Newry vintage fair in September and she told me all about her Irish crocheted designs, and over the moon that she will be joining us as a seller at Frock Around The Clock on 6th November. Rena loves vibrant colours and natural fibres and her innovative designs are all her own, where new ideas take on old favourites. She explains 'crochet is very 'now', as well as very 'then'. I mix the vintage and the contemporary and, hopefully, come up with accessories that you will want to wear, including scarves, hats, bags, purses, clutches, brooches, neckpieces, bead-and-wire jewellery and other creative pieces I haven't thought of yet!' Here is a wee preview of what to expect from Rena when you visit Frock Around The Clock. |
