The spring menu at Life Is Sweet is making us think of sunny days and picnics......roll on the good weather! Sarah is forever creating new products and changing up her menus so we can't wait to sample some of her latest delicious creations at our next event, the FROCK AROUND THE CLOCK VINTAGE FAIR @ BELFAST CASTLE on Sunday 7th April. These tasty treats are always a sell-out so come on down early to make sure you get your sweet fix!

We were wowed by the creations from Sparkles Cakes of Art when they joined us at our Christmas event at Lissan House in December, so we can't wait to see what works of art talented baker and cake artist Shirley has in store for our brides at the Decadence Vintage Bridal Fair next Sunday. Here is a sneaky peek at one of her latest creations and I have been told that she has some exciting things planned for next Sunday!

The Little Cupcakery is a boutique bakery in Bangor, which specialises in making mini-cupcakes with more than a hint of TLC – and of course the finest quality ingredients. The talented cupcake lover extraordinaire behind the Little Cupcakery name is Gillian Corbridge who says 'all our cupcakes are made fresh-to-order and I like to think of each of them as a miniature work of art – some people tell me they look too good to eat but I assure you that’s not true…' Having been lucky enough to taste them myself I can also assure you that is not true. Gillian lives just a street away from me which is a huge temptation, but these bite-sized treats are so tasty they definitely have to be good for you so there is no guilt involved!

Gillian bakes cupcakes for all manner of occasions but she loves a good wedding! Here's what she says to brides contemplating cupcakes for their special day....

'We know how important your big day is and we’ll work with you to make sure everything is just right. If you’re interested in seeing what we can do for you, get in touch and we’ll set up a consultation: its a good excuse to drink tea – we like tea almost as much as we like cupcakes – and sample some different flavours. At your consultation we’ll talk through plans for your wedding – colour schemes, designs and anything else you think is relevant and then, if you would like us to, we’ll create a complimentary sample box for you to try and share. We can give you costs for creating your cupcakes, delivering them, hiring cake stands and generally making everything as easy as possible for you'.

Gillian will be exhibiting at our Decadence Vintage Bridal Fair at Malone House on Sunday 3rd March and will be offering 10% discount on the day to anyone who gives their details and goes on to book their wedding cupcakes with The Little Cupcakery. We are delighted that The Little Cupcakery NI will be back with us at our Frock Around The Clock Valentine's Vintage Fair on Sunday 3rd February, selling miniature cupcakes as well as delicious homemade fudge and marshmallows, and Gillian, the talented baker behind the Little Cupcakery brand, will be discounting boxes of her little works of art to a special Valentine's Fair price so you can indulge for less!

We are in love with the Valentine's collection - a box of 12 decadent chocolate mini cupcakes with a special Valentine's chocolate ganache butter cream. Mmmmmmm!

Gillian from The Little Cupcakery NI will be joining us for the first time at our FROCK AROUND THE CLOCK 4th Birthday Event on Sunday 4th November at Malone House, Belfast and we can't wait to sample her tiny treats made with TLC. The Little Cupcakery specialise in mini cupcakes decorated with fondant or buttercream swirls, and these little delights are packed with taste and also look scrumptious. Just take a look at these samples and we are sure that your tastebuds will be tickled.....

We have a sweet tooth here at Decadence HQ so naturally the photoshoot for our 4th Birthday event had to include cake, and we were totally blown away by this beautiful confection baked by Sarah Smallwood  of Life Is Sweet especially for the occasion in the colours of our logo.

It was a shame to cut into such a perfect creation but our mouths were watering, and we can vouch that it tasted like a slice of pure heaven!

Our mouths were drooling when we heard about some of the treats that Sarah from Life Is Sweet will be bringing on Saturday  to FROCK AROUND THE CLOCK at Lisburn - including her very popular classic Red Velvet Cupcakes and Mini Oreo Cheesecakes.  She will also have Snickers Brownies, and Blueberry Pancake and Blackberry Apple Cupcakes to celebrate this autumnal weather. We were really excited to hear that Carrie at The Tea Boutique has bought a vintage caravan, and even more so that it will be making its first public appearance at our Decadence Vintage Bridal Fair this Sunday. Affectionately named 'Bella' this little beauty will be available to hire as a mobile vintage tea room for weddings, hen parties, birthdays, photoshoots, and media & corporate events. What's more, Carrie will be offering a fantastic 20% OFF the cost of hire when booked at this Sunday's Decadence Vintage Bridal Fair.
