Strictly Vintage will be exhibiting at The Retro Rooms Show this Sunday but instead of their usual glittering display of American costume jewellery they will be selling their collection of 1950s and 1960s ceramics including Midwinter, Hornsea, and Jessie Tate! Add Comment It nevers fail to surprise me that all the creative designers at our vintage fairs all produce very different work. We have a few exhibitors who restyle old and tired furniture, yet they all have very different looks. Some are funky, some have a distinct retro feel, but Liz from Creme de la Creme creates pieces with a very pretty, feminine touch. These photos from our August Frock Around The Clock event give a taste of what to expect this Sunday at The Retro Rooms Show. How fab are these racket mirrors - the latest creations from Jenny Bond Interiors? These will be available at The Retro Rooms Show this Sunday along with this G Plan sideboard and Jenny's unique brand of Lost and Found furniture. I love these retro ceramic teasets and soft furnishings - all available from Bee Vintage who will be joining us for the first time next Sunday at The Retro Rooms Show. If you missed seeing the fab retro furniture collection from Oscar & Oscar at our Newry Vintage Fair earlier this month, then make sure you get along to The Retro Rooms Show on 2nd October to source high quality pieces for your home, including names like Ercol, G Plan and Parker Knoll. I love the 'Wicked' stool by Lorna at Vintage Revival. Being something of a Dorothy / Wizard of Oz fan I think I might have to make a space in my home for this. Lorna will be selling her upcycled furniture designs at The Retro Rooms Show on Sunday 2nd October and here are some of her latest creations (but the last image of the Marilyn table has already been sold and is now in my dining room!) We have a crush on these fab collectables from Dublin-based Retrorumage, who we are glad to say will be making the trip to Belfast once again to join us at the Retro Rooms Show on 2nd October. Visit Retrorumage online for more vintage and retro furniture and homewares which boast both high quality and good value, and come and grab those bargains at the Holiday Inn, Belfast on Sunday 2nd October. Joanna Magennis of J'aime began her upcycling projects with the creation of colourful fabric bunting for her two daughters, and then she progressed on to bags and cushions. Mixing vintage and recycled fabrics and adding both old and new haberdashery, buttons, belts, felt, ribbon, and whatever else takes her fancy, Joanna's designs are cute, quirky and unique. We love the big bag made from a recycled coffee bean bag, jazzed up with colourful lining and handles! Joanna will be selling these and other gorgeous creations at Frock Around The Clock in Newry this Sunday. We always get excited to see pictures of 'new' vintage finds at Jenny Bond Interiors and wonder how they will be reworked by Jenny. A little bird tells us that she is working flat out this week to produce some new special pieces especially for Frock Around The Clock this Sunday so we wonder how these lost and founds will be transformed? And with quirky bits and bobs like these we can expect to find many unique pieces for unique interiors! |
